Good morning lovelies, I hope all of you are having a great day so far! Today's office consists of a pumpkin spice latte and a view of Alaskan way in Seattle. I am hanging out in Starbucks down town while I get ready for my meeting with Dixie from Seattle Met Bride & Groom! Keep your eyes peeled for new surprises in their magazine! Anyway, I wanted talk about 'The Kiss.' As a wedding photographer, it is my job to capture love. Therefore it's only natural that I've seen, and photographed a lot of kisses. There are pretty kisses and ugly kisses. If you are someone who is concerned with this, (like I would be on my wedding day) then its good to know what looks good on camera and how long to kiss for.
For your first kiss, it's good to keep your mouth closed. I know that you are really excited about kissing your partner and you want to show him how much you love him with your first kiss but it is best not to look like a fish on camera while doing that. So, a nice long peck is good. It's a good idea to hold it for a while and act like you're enjoying it. That way the photographer can get a few different shots and angles. It's a defining moment as you start your future life with your partner and you want to have It properly documented.
These kisses happen to be from engagement sessions but they are a great example of what I'm talking about:
Oh, and SMILE! There is nothing I love more than that smile right after or right before the kiss! It is wonderful!
And feel free to go back for seconds if you really like it! :)
